The Nankang Rubber Tire company was founded in Taiwan in 1959, with tire production in China starting around 2003. The company is more advanced than many of the other Asian brands, having earned Ford Motor Company's Q1 quality certification in 1987. We feel the brand is a step above many of the small tire companies that have popped up over the past 10-20 years.
Nankang are competitively priced such that they may be cheaper than better known brands such as Falken and Kumho, while having decent consumer reviews. Nankang also manufactures tires under different brands, such as Milestar and Geostar.
This tire is also known as the Noble Sport. Many reviewers love the handling, but based on the number of 1- and 2-star reviews, there seem to be some issues with quality control.
