Riken tires were once produced by a Japanese company, but is now owned by Michelin. It is a budget tire that could be manufactured in Eastern Europe by Michelin, along with other off-brands such as Tigar, Taurus, and Kormoran.
There are very few written reviews on Riken tires. Therefore, we would recommend spending a little more and buying one of the best rated tires instead. However, if your budget is tight, it is better to look at a budget brand like Fuzion or Westlake, which actually have numerous reviews on sites like Amazon.com.
Like the Z-speed rated version, dry performance is good, but average in the wet and not recommmended for snow. There are plenty of competitors for V-speed rated performance tires. Take a look at our top rated performance tires list for some ideas.
On a budget, we recommend the Sumitomo HTR A/S P02, which carries a generous 65K mile tread warranty for V-speed rated sizes.
